Commitment to the Planet

I firmly believe that each and every one of us is responsible for doing everything we can to diminish our carbon footprint,to  introduce and experiment green methods and materials in our production systems, to  recycle and use energy responsibly, and  to donate to the many excellent projects that address these issues.

I am proud to be offering artwork and design projects done in wood veneer,  itself a highly sustainable use of precious woods,which are assembled using low or no voc emission mastics and varnishes whenever possible, plywood assembled with low VOC emission mastics, FSC certified woods  and reclaimed woods.

By far most of the work done in creating these one of a kind creations is done  by hand, using no power tools. These are used only for the final phases of cleaning and pressing, so the process itself uses very little energy. I compensate for the carbon footprint I create in other ways- such as transportation and milling- with carbon offsets.

A minimum of 10% of  earnings is donated to Carbon Offset projects and other projects that help the Earth and its inhabitants , and I continually search for new green materials to use, ways to consume less energy and produce less waste.

This aspect of my work is in continual refinement as new products and ideas become available. I will provide more detailed information on products and processes upon request and look forward to the challenge of working in a world that is becoming much more committed to global sustainability.
